When ancient creatures emerge from the forest, their flesh carved with forbidden runes, driven by Blood Magic, the kingdom of Valnar is thrown into chaos. Alfred is sent north to confront a threat older than the kingdom itself. His brother, Carl, travels to the capital, seeking answers from the High Druid. Earl Osmund gathers his forces, backed by Blood Priests and ancestral powers long thought dead. 

As loyalty fractures and the forest wakes, each must decide what they are willing to sacrifice and whether victory can be survived without them becoming something else.

After a career in international finance, I took early retirement to complete my bucket list – which includes writing a novel. 

A lover of history, myth and legend, Blood of the Son is my debut novel.
